Shulker boxes were added to Minecraft in the Exploration Update in November 2016 – alongside Illagers, woodland mansions, and observers.

Do Shulkers kill you?

Shulkers will do anything to protect their area, and their attacks could potentially kill the player. These mobs attack by unscrewing their shells when a player is near and shooting them with white bullets.

When were END cities added to Minecraft?

For a guide about all the additions and changes in this update, see Bedrock Edition guides/Ender Update. The Ender Update is the name for Minecraft: Pocket Edition version 1.0. 0, a major update that was released on December 19, 2016.
