Would the Ocean Be Colonized?

Ocean colonization is said by theorist to be a potential solution to the world's growing population, with 7.78 billion people currently inhabiting earth as of May 2020.

Why don't we colonize the ocean?

The main reason we haven't colonized oceans yet is the fact people feel too comfortable on the steady ground. Most of us don't want to leave their familiar way of life. We are not motivated. Sooner or later, humanity will have to find another inhabitant.

Is it possible to colonize underwater?

Ocean colonies are safer than space colonies

It will be far easier to reach an underwater colony than to travel to space. Plus, as long as the colony is strategically positioned (such as in the Atlantic Ocean, near the equator), it will be safe from tsunamis and earthquakes.
