a week (counting backward or forward) from Sunday (or Monday, Tuesday, etc.)
What does it mean when someone says Monday week?
'Monday week' means the same as 'a week on/next Monday'. In other words, if this had been said to you today (Tuesday), I would assume that it did not mean the Monday of next week (12 August), but the Monday of the week after that (19 August).
What does it mean when someone says Wednesday week?
"Wednesday a week" means not the first Wednesday that's coming, but the one following. For example, today is December 12, Friday. Next Wednesday is December 17. " Wednesday a week" is December 24, the Wednesday after that. It's the same as "a week from Wednesday."
