Does the Equinus Brace Work?

Does the Equinus Brace Work?

It really has worked! Many of my patients' foot pain comes from a tight achilles tendon. Prior to the Equinus Brace I would have patients manually stretch their achilles tendon, but 90% of the time it was done incorrectly.

What is Equinus brace?

Equinus braces, often called night splints, are designed to gently stretch the calf muscles and Achilles tendon to alleviate pain and help resolve further issues you might be experiencing.

How do you fix Equinus?

In addition, the patient is treated for the equinus itself through one or more of the following options:
  1. Night splint. The foot may be placed in a splint at night to keep it in a position that helps reduce tightness of the calf muscle.
  2. Heel lifts. ...
  3. Arch supports or orthotic devices. ...
  4. Physical therapy.
