How Do Duikers Mate?

Mating Habits
These animals form monogamous breeding pairs. This means that one male mates and lives only with one female. No evidence for a peak breeding period has been found. Females are known to produce young at any time of the year, with gestation probably lasting 4-7 months.

Do duikers eat meat?

They supplement their diets with meat: duikers consume insects and carrion from time to time and even manage to capture rodents or small birds.

Do female duikers have horns?

Male and female forest duikers are about the same size, and both have horns. Their horns are small and spike-like, lying so flat against the head that they are not too useful in fighting. Bush duiker females are larger than males, but they usually do not have horns.
