The kubelet will run the first liveness probe 15 seconds after the container starts. Similar to the readiness probe, this will attempt to connect to the goproxy container on port 8080. If the liveness probe fails, the container will be restarted.
How do liveness probes work?
Liveness probes let Kubernetes know if your app is alive or dead. If you app is alive, then Kubernetes leaves it alone. If your app is dead, Kubernetes removes the Pod and starts a new one to replace it.

Summary. Both liveness & readiness probes are used to control the health of an application. Failing liveness probe will restart the container, whereas failing readiness probe will stop our application from serving traffic.
