What happens to Lockhart and Gardner?

After they pushed out Bond Lockhart/Gardner sank into debt, but came through. In season 5, Will Gardner was killed by Jeffrey Grant. During this time Louis Canning took advantage of this opening to merge with Lockhart/Gardner, forming Lockhart/Gardner & Canning; they kept the name in honor of Will.

Why did Alicia leave Lockhart Gardner?

She eventually had to leave town to escape the wrath of Bishop and his team. Considering her well-documented disdain for politics, it was a little — ok, very — disconcerting to see Alicia abandon the firm she and Cary had built from the ground up to step into the spotlight and run for office.
