- Cut. Select Cut. or press Ctrl + X.
- Paste. Select Paste. or press Ctrl + V. Note: Paste only uses your most recently copied or cut item.
- Copy. Select Copy. or press Ctrl + C.
Where is cut or copied text placed?
When you cut a selected portion of text, the text is removed from the document and placed on the Clipboard, a temporary storage area. When you paste text, a copy of the text on the Clipboard is placed into the document.
