The beach is open from 6 am to 11 pm, but swimming is only permitted when lifeguards are on duty, from 11 am to 7 pm daily.

Are Forster beaches closed?

Beaches across the MidCoast Council area will reopen tomorrow, except for Forster Main Beach which will be closed for sand-shifting, reopening on Saturday. The beaches have been closed since before the Easter holidays but were still able to be used for exercise as long as social distancing requirements were maintained.

Is Forster Main Beach patrolled?

Main Beach is patrolled on weekends during the summer months and every day during October and summer school holidays. Forster Ocean Baths are a short stroll from this beach offering a protected swimming area and accessible ramps.
