At the beginning, the flowers will be dry only externally and when you put them into a jar, when you open it on the next day, you will see that buds has become soft and humid again. This happens when you store it and at the inside of the bud still retains moisture.
How should buds feel when done drying?
Ideally, a well-cured bud should bounce back like memory foam. When you bend the stems, do they snap cleanly? This is a sign of a good cure. If they are still pliable and bend, the bud is too moist.
How do I keep my buds dense when drying?

A plastic bag will work in a pinch or if you have nothing else. Just be sure to remove as much air as possible from the bag before sealing. My preferred method is to roll the bag up from the bottom—like a rolled taco or crepe—toward the seal.
