Penalties and Fines for driving in convoys
It is a driving offence when 'failing to have full view of the road and traffic ahead'. Driving this way carries penalties/fines: Maximum for Goods Vehicles/PCVs £2,500. Maximum discretionary disqualification.
Is convoying illegal?
Convoy: A procession of land vehicles travelling together. Two or more is a convoy. Organized convoys, except military, are illegal and extremely dangerous.
Are convoys legal UK?
It is actually against the law to splash pedestrians by driving through puddles at speed. You can get a fixed penalty notice for doing so. In some cases people have been handed tickets for public order offences after deliberately driving through puddles to target pedestrians.
