1) In commercial work, it’s always a good idea to have multiple sets of gauges for additional circuits, equipment, locations on the same piece of equipment, etc. 2) I try to keep 3 sets dedicated, 1 for R22, 1 for R134a, 1 for R410a. However, a quick clearing w/ nitrogen and they can be used wherever they need to be.
Can I use R134 gauges on r12?
Answer: They are adapters to go from r12 gauge set to r134a lines. So your r12 gauge set will work on r134a equipped vehicles.
Can I use automotive r134a in a refrigerator?
In short, NO! R 134A is designed for the high demands of an automobile AC and cannot be used on refrigerators due to pressure differences. Refrigerators generally utilize R22, R32 or 410A-based coolants as their cooling agent.
