Renting Storage Containers
Customers have the option to store a PODS container on their property or at a PODS storage location. According to the company, rates for storing a PODS container on your personal property start as low as $110 per month for a 12-foot container and $120 for a 16-foot container.
How much can fit in a 16 ft pod?
When packed efficiently, 16-foot PODS can hold between three and four rooms. But remember, this is total rooms – not three or four-bedrooms plus a kitchen, dining room, living room, attic and garage. In other words, three or four bedrooms is a two-bedroom apartment with a kitchen and living room.
Can you store electronics in a pod?
When you think of mobile storage containers, you imagine them for different inventory like furniture, boxes, and even mechanical equipment. But mobile storage pods are also accessible options for electronics and electronic devices.

What happens if POD is too heavy?
Portable storage services use forklifts or other machinery to lift containers to and from the moving equipment. But if the container is too heavy, the forklift may not be able to support its weight. If this happens, the container could fall and damage the surrounding area, and possibly your belongings.
Is it safe to store furniture in a pod?
Although PODS on-site storage containers can offer excellent protection for your belongings on your property, if you need to store for more than a few weeks, we recommend keeping your container at a secure indoor PODS Storage Center.
Can you put food in a pod?
Don’t store any food, perishables, toxins, or flammables. Review the list of prohibited items in Section IV, “Limits on Use,” of your PODS Rental Agreement. Consider PODS’ Contents Protection option and consult your homeowner’s insurance plan to ensure your items are covered from damage or loss.
Do PODS come with a dolly?
Does PODS offer hand trucks or dollies? Hand trucks and dollies are available for rent in a limited number of markets. If interested, contact our Service team and an Associate will let you know what’s available in your area. You can also purchase moving supplies, lifting straps and mover bands on our website.
