What is a NumberBarn?
NumberBarn is a phone number management company. We started with the simple concept to meet customer’s number needs. We have no intention of hoarding numbers, blocking ports and holding you hostage. We’re happy to help you quickly port your number away to a service provider of your choosing.
How can I get the phone number I want?
You can get a specific phone number by requesting it from your service provider. You can also sign up for an online phone service plan that offers vanity numbers. Can I port my phone number?
Companies may charge you to port your number, but you can ask whether any fees can be waived or negotiated. Once you request service from a new company, your old company cannot refuse to port your number, even if you owe money for an outstanding balance or termination fee.
Can I keep my cell phone number without a plan?
Under FCC regulations, you have the right to keep your cell phone number (it doesn’t belong to your carrier). So a carrier is required to relinquish your cell phone number to you if you so request. This is pretty simple if you’re just switching from Verizon to AT&T to Credo or whatnot.
Can I port my number from grasshopper?
Porting out: Grasshopper will let you port your number out for free. “As long as you have an active Grasshopper subscription and an account in good standing, you can transfer your existing toll-free or local number out of Grasshopper and to a new carrier.” To learn more about number porting at Grasshopper, click here.
Is Number barn a VoIP?
The Number Barn service is very limited in capabilities compared to the vast majority of providers in the VoIP market. The service essentially behaves as a relay point for one (or several) phone numbers not requiring a full-fledged phone service.
