Typically, PEX-a is used with cold expansion fittings (F1960) or Uponor / Wirsbo’s brand name Propex fittings. Other expansion fittings that can be used are F2080 or Rehau’s Everloc fitting. PEX-a can also be used with all crimp fitting and push-fit style methods.
Can you use Viega fittings on Uponor PEX?

Can you use sharkbite fittings on Uponor?
These are classified based on the way the are manufactured. Pex-A is the only type that Uponor manufactures and is considered to be the best. Apollo manufactures both Pex-A and Pex-B. If your supplier is selling Sharkbite fittings, all sharkbite fittings will work on all three types of Pex.
Is ProPEX and PEX-A the same?
PEX pipe is made by a handful of companies, but the best version I’ve discovered so far is part of a system called ProPEX. It’s a proprietary brand of PEX connections and pipe invented by an international company named Uponor (uponor.ca) and based in Finland.
Is Viega PEX-A or B?

What happens if you expand PEX B?
