Superbells Flowers

Superbells Flowers

Superbells® Calibrachoa are excellent summer performing annuals, as long as their needs are met. They are heat tolerant, will tolerate dry conditions and bloom prolifically all summer without deadheading. As with most plants, the critical elements for success are sun, fertilizer, soil and water.

Is a Superbell a petunia?

Though they are often mistaken for miniature petunias, Superbells calibrachoa actually aren’t petunias at all. A key difference is that they grow much better in containers than they do in the ground. That’s because they prefer the type of soil that is used in containers compared to your regular garden soil.

How tall do Superbells grow?

Superbells are Proven Winners’ newest Calibrachoas. We’re the ones covered with hundreds of flowers from early spring all the way through those first light frosts. Just 6 – 10 inches tall, our long, long, trailing branches cascade over the sides of hanging baskets and other containers, and spread over flower beds.

Why are my Superbells not blooming?

If your superbells are not blooming, several issues may be contributing: a too-shady location is usually the primary culprit. Another primary problem could be that the soil is waterlogged, or you are watering them too frequently, because superbells are sensitive to soggy soil and need good drainage.

What is the difference between Superbells and Supertunias?

The self-cleaning flowers bloom from spring into fall without deadheading. Supertunias like even, consistent moisture. Superbells calibrachoa (top left photo on the right) grow best in containers & hanging baskets, not in the ground. They like to dry out a bit between watering, so be careful not to overwater them.
