How do you know Pylera is working?
You will know whether Pylera has worked for you and has successfully treated your peptic ulcer when your doctor performs a test at least four weeks after you take your last pills. He or she will use a breath test or a stool test to determine if the Helicobacter pylori bacteria that caused your ulcer have been killed.
How many hours apart should you take Pylera?
Administer three PYLERA capsules 4 times a day (after meals and at bedtime) for 10 days. One omeprazole 20 mg capsule should be taken twice a day with PYLERA after the morning and evening meal for 10 days (Table 1). Instruct patients to swallow the PYLERA capsules whole with a full glass of water (8 ounces).
