What is Self Binding Gravel? Self Binding Gravel is a blend of either 10mm or 8mm sized gravel particles, gravel dust, sand and clay that binds firmly when compacted. Not only does it look neat and attractive but it’s also easy to maintain – just requiring the odd bit of weeding.

Self Binding Gravels need to spread and compacted in thin layers. We recommend a finished compacted depth of no more than 50mm. Initially a 15-20mm layer should be spread using the back of a rake or screeding board.
How long does bound gravel last?
Its longevity: resin bound paving is a long lasting durable surface. While guarantees vary between 10 – 21 years, when properly installed and maintained, can last for more than 25 years. It requires minimal maintenance: there are no weeds to ‘weed’ or loose stone to sweep.

Can you put self-binding gravel over concrete?
Yes, you can. Nidagravel gravel grids are the ideal way to stabilise gravel that is to be laid directly over concrete, tarmac and block paved driveways. In fact, a gravel grid is the only way you can install gravel successfully over a solid slab.
