Open the mods folder in your Minecraft install folder. If there isn’t a mods folder there, you can create it. Move the mod JAR files that you downloaded into the mods folder in your Minecraft install folder. After moving all the files, open the Minecraft Launcher and start the game using your Fabric profile.

What does it mean if a mod is Fabric?

Fabric is a lightweight modloader. It has a separate API, required by most but not all Fabric mods in the mods folder. Fabric is version agnostic, which means it can be theoretically used on any version of Minecraft. There are even examples of it being used on other Java-based games.

Forge has more mods available, but Fabric gets updated more quickly. While it’s currently better to pick Forge, I’d still recommend you try out Fabric mods. There are a lot of amazing mods out there!
