What kind of primer is 123?
The Zinsser Bulls Eye 123 Primer is a fast-drying, water-thin acrylic latex undercoat that dries quickly and evenly.
Is 123 a good primer?
It offers low odour application, quick drying convenience and excellent adhesion to glossy surfaces. Bulls Eye® 1-2-3 effectively primes and seals a wide variety of interior and exterior surfaces. A ‘bond coat’ primer that’s great for hard-to-stick surfaces, it offers excellent adhesion without sanding.
How long does it take for 123 primer to dry?
Dry Time – At normal temperatures Bulls Eye® 1-2-3 will dry to touch in 30 minutes and can be recoated after one hour. Topcoat within 30 days. Lower temperatures, higher humidity, and the addition of tint will prolong dry and cure time of the product. Full adhesion and hardness develop in 7 days.
Do you need to sand Bulls Eye 1-2-3?
It is suitable for use on bare or painted surfaces including wood, drywall, cured plaster, concrete and masonry, stucco, aluminum, vinyl, galvanized metal and PVC. It provides excellent adhesion to dense glossy surfaces, enamel paints and varnishes, paneling, laminates and ceramics without sanding or de-glossing.
Can Zinsser 123 be used as an undercoat?

How soon after priming can I paint?
In most cases, latex primers don’t take more than an hour to dry out. However, you should wait three to four hours before applying a layer of paint. Does primer have to be perfect?

Yes you can paint over that – just make sure it is properly dry. Also if you are doing two coats over it make sure you also leave a good amount of drying time between. BE123 seems to slow the drying process a little and you will find the paint dragging if you try and second coat to soon.
