Due to high application volume and a large backlog due to past closures, some Global Entry enrollment centers do not have open interview appointments for months and some locations show no available appointments at all.

How long does it take to schedule a Global Entry interview?

From filling out the application to conditional approval to the interview and receiving your Global Entry Card in the mail, the process can take as little as a few weeks to as long as six months.

Do I need to interview for Global Entry renewal?

An interview for program membership renewal may not be necessary. Once you submit your renewal application and fee, check your TTP account periodically for updates on what actions are necessary to complete the renewal process. You will receive an email when your membership status changes.

Is Nexus interview open?

NEXUS and FAST enrollment centers in Canada remain closed until further notice. Applicants may enter the United States to complete their interview, but must meet all applicable travel requirements.

How long does Global Entry take to get approved?

For new Global Entry applicants, the processing time for an application can exceed 90 days. A full background check will be completed to ensure our potential members qualify for expedited processing into the United States.

Global Entry provides the benefits of TSA PreCheck plus faster U.S. customs screening for international travelers arriving at U.S. airports. It’s run by a different agency, U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Does everyone need an interview for Global Entry?

All Global Entry applications must be submitted online through the CBP website, along with a $100 nonrefundable application fee. After you’ve received conditional approval, you’ll need to schedule and complete an interview.

How long does Global Entry renewal take 2021?

Renewing Global Entry can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months. Currently, CBP is offering a 24-month grace period to those who start the renewal process before their existing status expires. This should be plenty of time to keep your benefits active while your renewal is pending.
