Are Lectron carbs any good?

How do you lean out lectron carbs?
To tune the rod, remove the slide and hold the slide to where the rod is pointing towards you. Turning it to the right will richen it. Turning it to the left will lean it.
How do I know if my 2 stroke is lean or rich?
keeping the engine under a light load (you will only be opening the throttle to 1/2 or so) If the needle is set too rich you will hear a sputtering like the choke is on and the acceleration will be slow. If the clip position is too lean the engine will sound quiet and have a “dead” feeling possibly hesitating.

What does a metering rod do?
The metering rod is used to control the size of the opening. During low RPM the metering rod is down the large step in the metering rod blocks much of the opening. When up and at higher RPM the rod raises and allows more fuel through.
What does the needle and seat do?
The first stop for the flow of fuel coming into a carburetor is the needle and seat. Essentially, this is a basic valve. The seat is typically conical and the needle has a point which seals against the seat to stop fuel from entering the carb at a certain level. This prevents flooding the engine and engine compartment.
