Here are the steps for opening a Master Lock combination lock:
Turn the dial to the right at least three times.Stop on the first number in the combination. Turn the dial to the left a full rotation so you go past the first number, in this case, 2, and stop on the second number in the combination.

Please try resetting the lock again by following the instructions below:
Place lock in the open position.On the back of the lock, slide the reset lever into the “up” position.Insert the shackle into the lock and squeeze firmly twice to “clear” it.Pull up on the shackle to open the lock.Enter your new combination.
