CimeXa & Heat Treatments
It uses safe techniques and will kill all life-stages of bed bugs in just one day. It is often used in conjunction with CimeXa because there are many items in which pesticides cannot be applied, like bedding and clothing. Unlike other pesticides, CimeXa is not affected by heat treatments.
Do bed bugs avoid CimeXa?
Bed bugs significantly avoided areas treated with CimeXa, Alpine, Tri-Die Dust, and MotherEarth D (Figure 1 and Figure 2, and videos in supplementary file).
What bugs does CimeXa kill?
Cimexa insecticide dust is labeled for control of bedbugs, fleas, ticks, lice, roaches, ants, Firebrats, silverfish, spiders & mites. It may also be used for the prevention & Treatment of dry wood termites.
How long does CimeXa Dust last?
CimeXa Dust will last up to 10 years when applied to undisturbed areas like wall voids. It is very effective on bed bugs, fleas, and especially pyrethroid resistant bed bugs.
How do you put CimeXa on a mattress?
Per the CimeXa Dust product label, “Remove bedding and take the bed apart. Treat the interior framework, joints and cracks in the bed frame. Treat the mattress and box spring, paying particular attention to tufts, folds and edges, and the interior framework of the box spring.
How do you clean up CimeXa?
To remove Cimexa Dust, you can simply vaccum the area and then rinse with soap and water. You should launder any fabrics that you think may have gotten the dust on them. Be sure to wear gloves while cleaning. Please call us at 866-581-7378 with any questions.
Is CimeXa the same as diatomaceous earth?
Answer: CimeXa Dust is similar to diatomaceous earth in that it is an all-natural product that does not break down over time. However, CimeXa Dust is more finely processed than most DE products, allowing for very low use rates.
Is CimeXa safe for cats?
CimeXa Insecticide Dust is safe if pets are not present during the application, it is used as directed on the product label, and the dust settles prior to their return to the treated areas.
Is CimeXa safe on skin?
Answer: CimeXa Insecticide Dust should not be applied directly to skin as it is abrasive and can cause irritation. If it does come into contact with skin, the manufacturer recommends washing immediately with soap and water.
How long does it take for CimeXa to kill?
CimeXa Insecticide Dust is a slow kill product and can take up to a week to kill an insect. It should not be the only product used to treat bed bugs for this reason. Using a combination of products is best. We generally recommend using one of our bed bug kits, which contain Cimexa dust along with other products.
Is CimeXa safe to use around pets?
Adults, children and pets should be safe enough with Cimexa. The ClimeXa powder is actually (apparently) non-toxic to bed-bugs and other life forms.
Can you mix CimeXa with water?
CimeXa Insecticide Dust is effective applied in the dry formulation using a dust applicator and mixed with water and applied as a spray. It will last longer in a voided area when dry if left undisturbed and not removed. Apply at a rate of 2 ounces per 100 square feet.
What powder kills bedbugs?
Diatomaceous earth kills bed bugs by acting as a desiccant, which means that it dries out what it comes into contact with. You’ll be using diatomaceous earth as a barrier in areas you know bed bugs move around in.
How do you use CimeXa for roaches?
For roaches, it’s a good idea to puff underneath and behind kitchen appliances. CimeXa can be mixed with water at a ratio of up to 1 pound of dust per 1 gallon of water. However, evidence shows that this is less effective than dusting with a hand duster.
Is CimeXa good for roaches?
CimeXa Insecticide Dust is a great addition to a roach control regimine. It is applied in the wall voids and under baseboards and in cracks and crevices. It will last for up to 10 year in a wall void that is undisturbed. If you are treating for roaches, this is not the only product we would recommend.
