Afghanistan has always been crucial for India’s strategic interests in South Asia. After Afghanistan was left ravaged in 2001, India has helped the country build roads, schools, hospitals, dams and many other crucial projects that helped shape the country’s future.
Is Indian allowed in Afghanistan?
India has been allowed to operate two flights per day from Kabul to evacuate its nationals stranded in Afghanistan. Yesterday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the unfolding of events there and its implications for the region and the world.
During this period Afghans from Kabulistan began arriving to India for business and pleasure. The Sur Empire replaced the Mughal Empire from 1540 to 1557. Other Pashtuns began invading India until the Sikh Empire came to power. The Pashtun emperor Sher Shah Suri (Farid Khan) defeated the Mughal Empire in 1540.
Why did Afghan separated from India?
In the last 2500 years, various organizations, invaders and countries invaded India and attacked it repeatedly. The British were frightened by the revolution against the British in 1857 and, following the principle of divide and rule, first separated Afghanistan from India in 1876 and this continued till 1947.
India and Afghanistan have a strong relationship based on historical and cultural links. India has been, and continues to be, a steadfast partner in the reconstruction and development efforts in Afghanistan.
