What is Afont?

A font is a graphical representation of text that may include a different typeface, point size, weight, color, or design. Software programs like Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and WordPad allow users to change the font used when typing text in the document or spreadsheet, as do web designers.

The Dior wordmark personifies elegance alongside the rich and dynamic full screen images which work well with the fonts to create a sense of style, class and sophistication. The supporting typeface is Century Gothic, with the captions set in all caps and the body copy in upper and lowercase.

Why is a digital clock digital?

A digital clock is a type of clock that displays the time digitally (i.e. in numerals or other symbols), as opposed to an analogue clock. Digital clocks are often associated with electronic drives, but the “digital” description refers only to the display, not to the drive mechanism.

Created in the mid 1960s by the German printer Rudolf Hell, Digiset still projects light onto photo paper, but it does so via a Cathode Ray Tube (CRT)—the same technology that televisions used.
