The Department of Defense Medical Examination Review Board (DoDMERB) is responsible for determining the medical qualification of United States Air Force Academy applicants. All academies and commissioning sources use one general standardized examination to determine medical qualifications.

How long does the DoDMERB take?

The medical examination process normally takes 3+ weeks if there are no complications. However, the entire exam process can take up to four months to complete if retests or waivers are required. Contact DODMERB if you do not receive the results of your medical exam within 45 days after completing the examination.

Is DoDMERB connected to MEPS?

DODMERB will accept the MEPs Physical in lieu of the medical exam if: Already enlisted in the USAR or ARNG.
