Wake Tech has established a Virtual Support Center for students, which is the best and safest way for students and prospective students to receive services such as admissions, financial aid, registration and records, advising, veterans services, career and employment resources, and wellness counseling.
Scott Ralls, the former president of the state’s community college system, was named the next president of Wake Tech on Tuesday. Ralls, currently the president of Northern Virginia Community College, will assume the job May 1 at an annual salary of $345,000.
The minimum requirements for adjunct teachers is a master’s degree or higher in the subject they’re teaching. Work experience is also required at most universities. Adjunct teachers have to prepare curriculums and study plans in addition to grading homework and administering tests.

Health Sciences students (except Health & Fitness and Human Services Technology majors) may meet with an Academic Advisor on a walk-in basis at Perry Health Sciences Campus Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.to 5:00 p.m.

Approximately 80% of Wake Tech students in spring 2022 are taking at least one online course. About 20% are taking face-to-face and hybrid classes. Students and employees are asked to report positive cases to their instructors and/or Human Resources.
Be sure to check your official Wake Tech email at least once per day, and respond to instructor emails within 48 hours (not including weekends and holidays).
Persistence is perhaps the biggest key to success in online learning. Students who succeed are those who are willing to tolerate technical problems, seek help when needed, work daily on every class, and persist through challenges. When you run into a challenge, keep trying and ask for help.
