How Do I Access Unifi Video?

The UniFi Video configuration portal is accessed by using a web browser. There are two ways to access the portal: Ubiquiti Device Discovery Tool For users with a DHCP‑enabled LAN and using the Chrome browser. Direct Connection to UniFi NVR Configure the UniFi NVR by connecting it directly to your computer via Ethernet.

On January 15th, 2021, UniFi Video will no longer be supported by Ubiquiti. Past this date, UniFi Video installations will no longer be remotely accessible via video.ui.com when outside of their local network.

You can access UniFi Protect anywhere by going to unifi.ui.com and signing in with your Ubiquiti SSO account. If you’d like to connect to Protect directly without going through unifi.ui.com: Make sure your computer and UniFi OS Console are on the same network. Type your UniFi OS Console’s IP address into a web browser.

That’s right, the default username is ubnt and the default password is ubnt.

Phasing out UniFi-Video products

No software or hardware revisions will be released, including for web UI and mobile applications. No customer support will be available. No security updates. All cloud operations will be shut down and video.ui.com will no longer be accessible.

Upgrade your Unifi Video. First, you need to make sure that your Unifi Video is updated to the latest version. Create a backup of your Unifi Video. Open settings and click on Download Configuration in the top bar.Shutdown the NVR. Set up your Unifi Protect. Import the backup. Import completed.

UniFi Protect supports all UVC (G2) and newer UniFi cameras.

Import the UniFi Video 3 configuration backup into the new Protect interface
Go to https:///protect to open the UniFi Protect setup wizard. Complete the “Set up your NVR” process and click Skip during the “Camera Setup” process.

To enable Remote Access in your UniFi Protect application:

Login to the interface with: “admin”/”ubnt”. Click Users, Slect the admin user. Change the ADMIN password to a strong passphrase!!

@pjsockett – The camera password is randomly generated by the NVR. You can view it from the settings page.

While the camera is powered on, press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds.Release the button (the LEDs will stop glowing).Do not disconnect the camera from its power source during the reboot process.The camera will restore factory settings after a few minutes.
