Jesse Garron, Delaware’s own Elvis Presley, was inducted into the International ETA (Elvis Tribute Artists) Hall of Fame, which honors members for their dedication to fans and to their art while keeping the memory of Elvis Presley alive.
Elvis and his parents are buried at Graceland, leaving many to speculate why Jesse’s grave hasn’t been moved there. Some say, it’s because the body is simply too fragile to relocate. With most family members long gone and the grave’s inconspicuous locale, Jesse doesn’t get many visitors.
1. Elvis had a twin. On January 8, 1935, Elvis Aron (later spelled Aaron) Presley was born at his parents’ two-room house in East Tupelo, Mississippi, about 35 minutes after his identical twin brother, Jesse Garon, who was stillborn. The next day, Jesse was buried in an unmarked grave in nearby Priceville Cemetery.
Priscilla Presley famously met her future husband, Elvis Presley, when she was just 14 years old in 1959. But the couple didn’t get married until May 1, 1967. While Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley might have waited eight long years to tie the knot, at last, they didn’t have to wait nearly as long for a pregnancy.
And while Elvis wasn’t a songwriter per se, he did co-write a few songs in his career including “That’s Someone You Never Forget” and the haunting “You’ll Be Gone.” From the ’50s through the ’70s, Elvis demonstrated his innate gift as a seasoned song man.
The “Love Me Tender” singer is interred in the Meditation Garden behind his mansion’s pool in Memphis, Tenn.

WHY IS ELVIS NOT BURIED NEXT TO HIS MOTHER? Elvis Presley loved his mother. He was raised in Tupelo in a small house there and it was very difficult for his family to make ends meet. Elvis wanted to ensure that his mother Gladys and family were well looked after.
Amazingly Elvis was actually a natural blonde until his late teens and even after when his hair began to go darker it wasn’t naturally the shade we all know so well. It was usually dyed a shade of brown known as ‘Mink Brown’, but once when the King himself tried to do it, he opted to use black shoe polish.
Rick Stanley, who died Jan. 7 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers, was a stepbrother to the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Elvis Presley. He also was the associate pastor and minister of music at Eureka First Baptist Church. Stanley, 65, had served in those positions for five years.
