Approximately 6 to 8 hours depending upon temperature, humidity, air movement, and the amount of stain on the surface. For additional color depth, a second coat of stain can be applied after 8 hours. Ideal drying conditions recommended are 70° to 75°F and 35 to 50% humidity.

What’s the difference between wiping stain and gel stain?

Gel stains are, simply put, a very thick version of a wiping stain. Why is my gel stain still tacky?
