Marlite wall panels are made from a fiberglass-reinforced plastic and typically are glued straight onto a wall’s sheetrock, either as a whole panel or as smaller tile-sized bits. These panels are glued onto the wall, so it often is easier to just paint over them rather than try and remove them and then paint.
Is Marlite waterproof?

Can I wallpaper over Marlite?
Marlite paneling is topcoated with a clear finish that is very smooth, slippery and easy to clean in everyday use. Because of this coating it doesn’t refinish well and I wouldn’t typically recommend trying to repaint or wallpaper over the panels without some treatment. Even so, it may still not last.
Are fiberglass panels waterproof?
A: Absolutely FRP is waterproof. Just like other building materials, it does have an absorption rate to it, but it’s very minimal compared to wood or something along those lines.

How do you cut marlite?
