To change the default 4-digit code on a Schlage lock, follow these steps.
Step 1: Find your programming code. Step 2: Enter your programming code. Step 3: Press the Schlage and number 1 button simultaneously. Step 4: Enter your new entry code. Step 5: Enter your 4-digit code again to confirm.

How do you delete and change the code on a Schlage Lock?

Press key 2 on the keypad and then wait for the Schlage button to light orange three times, followed by three beeps. Enter the User Code to be deleted (4 digits), then wait for the Schlage button to light orange three times, followed by three beeps. Re-enter the User Code to be deleted to complete the operation.
