Per person 13 years and older. We have a very high volume of visitors on weekends and holidays. We limit visitation to protect the natural and cultural resources, to preserve the natural experience for you, and for your safety. The park closes to visitors without reservations when we reach capacity.

How much does it cost to go to Enchanted Rock?

$8 per day, per person 13 and older. OFFICE AND GATE INFORMATION: The park is are open daily at 6:30 AM and closes at 8:00 PM. Day use visitors may use the park until 10 PM, when all day-use permits expire.

How do I reserve a day pass to Texas state parks?

Visit the Texas State Parks Reservation site or call our customer service center (1-512-389-8900), then choose your park and select day use.

Are day passes required for Texas state parks?

Park capacity is based on visitor safety and resource protection. To guarantee entry, we highly recommend reserving day passes and overnight stays before your visit.

Is Enchanted Rock cash only?

ATTENTION: if you are coming out to the park, we are currently in a cash only system. Exact change is preferred and we CANNOT accept credit cards.

How long is the hike at Enchanted Rock?

The trail around Enchanted Rock is 4.25 miles long and takes 2-3 hours. over a year ago. It does not take long to reach the summit if you hike without too many stops. You can hike straight up or zig zag depending on your fitness level.

Is Enchanted Rock an easy hike?

Can you hike Enchanted Rock at night?

Night hiking is only permitted on the Loop Trail, with the exception of guided, ranger-led hikes and special dark sky events. The event schedule for both day and night hikes are always posted on the events tab on the TPWD Enchanted Rock website, but we also give you the heads up on Facebook, too.
