The big North Carolina Mountain State Fair in Asheville is the official “state fair” of the western part of NC. More than 180,000 people attend the 10-day event that celebrates our people, agriculture, art and tradition.
Is the NC State Fair Open 2021?
The fair will be open every day through October 24 at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds in Raleigh.
Is alcohol served at the N.C. State Fair?
Wine servings are 3 ounces each, and beer or cider servings are 8 ounces each. Tickets may be purchased in advance, or during the fair at the entrance of the NC Public House. Beer+Wine tickets will be $10 each, and tickets for craft sodas may be purchased on-site for $5 each.

Free parking is available on State Fair, Carter-Finley Football Stadium and PNC Arena properties. Fairgoers are encouraged to take Wade Avenue to the Edwards Mill Extension to park in these lots. There may be exceptions if events are scheduled at Carter-Finley or PNC Arena.
How much is parking at N.C. State Fair?
The same $5 charge applies. The fair has also added new parking spots on the Edwards Mill and Reedy Creek Roads for off-site parking. The N.C. State Fair will provide free shuttles from Reedy Creek Road to the N.C. State Fair to and from Gate 8 off Trinity Road and Gate B at the Carter-Finley Stadium.

No. Fairgoers are limited only to the type of bags carried into the N.C. State Fair, not items they may normally bring that fit in pockets or clutch bags (e.g., keys, makeup, feminine products, comb, phone, wallet, credit cards).

The use of drones or unmanned aircraft/vehicles are prohibited on all State Fair property including HHC. No dogs are allowed in the main arena, dining area or administrative areas. No loose dogs/pets are allowed anywhere on the premises.
