How often do you change the filter on a SoClean?
To keep your SoClean running optimally, you’ll need to change its filter and check valve about every six months. The SoClean Cartridge Filter Kit, available for sale on soclean.com, includes both of these components. As for when it’s time to change your filter, the SoClean leaves little room for guesswork.
Why is my SoClean not working?
The SoClean did not complete a disinfecting cycle successfully. Common reasons for this are that the lid was not securely closed, there was no mask in the chamber at cleaning time or the hose slot plug is missing or not properly seated.
What does yellow light on SoClean mean?
YELLOW when the SoClean is in its 2-hour disinfecting cycle. GREEN when disinfecting has been successfully completed. The lighted display will turn off once the lid is lifted. For questions about the status indicator light, please see the FAQ on page 18.
Can I use my CPAP if SoClean is yellow?

Do I need to clean my SoClean?
A: Your CPAP equipment is completely sanitized every time you use the SoClean. However, the SoClean will not remove facial oils or dust or other foreign materials. You should hand wash your CPAP equipment with the pre-wash solutions every 5-6 weeks.
Should I stop using my SoClean machine?
Patients have reported to the FDA that the ozone from such “cleaning devices” has caused cough, breathing difficulty, nasal irritation, headaches, asthma attacks, and other breathing complaints. Ozone gas (used in SoClean and other devices) does kill bacteria.
Is there a difference between SoClean and SoClean 2 filters?
The SoClean 2 does not use water or chemicals. SoClean and SoClean 2 are two different models of a CPAP cleaning device. The original SoClean is no longer made, so when people are talking about using a SoClean cleaning device, they are probably referring to SoClean 2 or the other option, SoClean 2 Go.
Is SoClean being recalled?
The use of an ozone cleaner such as the SoClean can make this worse. While the number of people actually experiencing problems has been quite small, there is enough concern to trigger this recall. Respironics is recalling all their PAP machines manufactured before April 2021.
Do I need to change the water in my CPAP daily?
You must refill your humidification chamber daily. Distilled water is the only kind of water you should use in your humidifier, whether it’s for humidifying or for cleaning. Also, never reuse the water, as it can breed microorganisms that could make you sick.
Why does my SoClean smell?
Sometimes you may experience a strong odor after running the SoClean for the first time. This is a byproduct of the oxidation with activated oxygen of the old materials that may have been used to clean your CPAP equipment in the past, such as vinegar or scented soaps.
How long does a SoClean machine last?
How long will the SoClean machine last? You do not have to worry about incurring the SoClean cost often. In our estimation, the SoClean device can be functional for over 5 years without giving the user any problems. It would be best to note that the SoClean 2 comes with a 2-year warranty.
