The air dancer is known by many names —sky dancer, fly guy, tall boy, inflatable man, tube man, or wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube man—it doesn’t matter what you call them.
Who invented the inflatable man?
Where did those dancing inflatable men, called AirDancers or “tall boys”, originally come from? Trinidadian Carnival artist Peter Minshall created these long-armed, long-legged, exuberant dancers — plastic, body-shaped tubes set on fans — for the 1996 Summer Olympics.
What are tube man used for?
Tube men are typically used to advertise retail business premises to passing motorists.
How does the inflatable man work?
The collapsing material creates a kink in the tube, a constriction that causes the air speed to temporarily slow and the pressure to rise again. The elevated pressure drives the bend upward, sending a shimmy through the AirDancer and restarting the cycle.
What are air dancers used for?
Air Dancers are an effective inflatable promotional tool that can be used in the same manner as banners and feather flags to attract attention to your business.
How do you clean an air dancer?
Can I wash my Air Dancers® brand inflatable tube man attachment? How do I clean it? We recommend hand-washing the inflatable tube man attachment with mild detergent and cold water and air dry. It can also be washed in a front-loading washing machine on the most delicate setting.
