How do heat reactive shirts work?
The reality is that Hypercolor or heat-sensitive shirts use thermochromic dyes and respond solely to heat, not light. While sun or light-sensitive shirts use photochromic dyes and respond solely to sunlight / ultraviolet (UV) light, not heat.
Is thermochromic pigment toxic?
No. The thermochromic pigments and our water-based paints and inks are NON-toxic products conform to ASTM 4236 standard. However, we recommend you to follow the general rules for personal protection – wear latex gloves and protective glasses. The thermochromic products should not be ingested!
