Is a bass epicenter worth it?
In reality it’s a somewhat smarter bass boost. An Epicenter in the wrong hands would wreck a system pretty quick. It’s worth noting that Audio Control themselves suggest you put the Epicenter in before you mid or midbasses as well as your subs to allow the “bass restoration” to enhance those signals as well.
What is better equalizer or epicenter?
We always recommend you put the Epicenter® BEFORE an EQ or crossover. Since the Epicenter is adding frequencies to your signal, you would want to put it before any EQ or crossover in order to be able to adjust those frequencies.
Are AccuBASS necessary?
Registered. You need to figure out if your car has its bass rolled off or if it’s a clean flat signal. If it’s flat, you don’t need Accubass. If it’s rolled off, Accubass can be helpful.
What is wide on the epicenter?
The two knobs are labeled “Wide” and “Sweep”. The “Sweep” knob allows you to pick the center frequency that you want The Epicenter bass restoration circuit to “maximize”. The “Wide” knob adjusts how wide a frequency range The Epicenter will effect.
What does a digital bass enhancer do?

Do you need a crossover if you have an equalizer?
We use equalizers to improve the sound frequencies in music and adjust the audio signal itself. Crossovers are used to control the sound sent to one or more amplifiers based on the speakers we’ll be using and to set up installations like 2-way or 3-way component speaker systems.
What’s the difference between crossover and equalizer?
So by now, you know the difference between a crossover and an equalizer. While both of these components allow us our car sound, they work differently. While crossover splits an audio signal and sends it to relevant speakers, the EQ customizes the frequency output of a car audio system.
How do you connect an equalizer to a crossover?
Plug the preamp or mixer main output into the equalizer input with a shielded interconnect cable. Connect the equalizer output to the crossover input with a shielded interconnect cable. Plug shielded interconnect cables into each of the crossover’s labeled frequency outputs.
How do I adjust my AccuBASS?
How to setup AccuBASS®
Set the AccuBASS Threshold dial all the way to the left (counterclockwise)Set the AccuBASS Level knob at the 12 O’clock position.Start playing a 50 Hz test tone.Slowly turn up the head unit volume until you start to hear bass dropping.
What does maximized mean on LC2i?
The Maximized light on the LC2i is a warning for when distorted signal is sent to the outputs of the device. Keep in mind, it will not light up when receiving audio signal, only when it detects distortion on outputs from the device.
