What is the current Unearthed Arcana?
In today’s Unearthed Arcana, we explore character options from the Dragonlance setting. This playtest document presents the kender race, the Lunar Magic sorcerer subclass, the Knight of Solamnia and Mage of High Sorcery backgrounds, and a collection of new feats, all for use in Dungeons & Dragons.
Are Unearthed Arcanas legal?
These game mechanics are in draft form, usable in your D&D campaign but not refined by final game development. They are not officially part of the game. For these reasons, material in this column is not legal in D&D Adventurers League events.

Does DND beyond have UA?
D&D Beyond will no longer be supporting Unearthed Arcana material. We love Unearthed Arcana on the team, but our ability to present the material as intended, in a timely manner, without diverting other resources, is limited.
Why is UA not on DND beyond?
Speaking in the forum post, community manager MellieDM said the decision was made in order to free up resources for other development projects. The D&D Beyond team had faced difficulties presenting the playtest material in a way that it was intended to be shown, and found it diverted resources away from other projects.
How do I get unearthed arcana?
To use Unearthed Arcana content with your characters, you must have the Playtest Content toggle turned on in your character preferences in the Home section during character creation (the same way you toggle Homebrew content on and off).
