Does Herculiner last?

How many coats of Herculiner should I put on?

Does Herculiner Harden?
A: You should allow Herculiner to dry about 9-12 hours before any light use and allow 24 hours for a complete cure. Curing begins when Herculiner is exposed to atmospheric moisture. Therefore, with higher humidity, curing time is shorter.

Does Herculiner come in colors?
You can get Herculiner in white, red, gray, and black. If you were interested in another color other than the ones listed, you just have to paint it.
Can you recoat Herculiner?
yes you can. I just redid the bed of my truck. used Lacquer thinner to prep it, then did 2 new coats on the bed walls and did 2 new coats on the bed. I use this stuff for everything and have found that if you paint over (Rattle cans) it as it tacks up, you get a nice glossy finish that lasts.
Can I paint over Herculiner?
In addition, painting over the Herculiner could cause the paint to get cracked, Spiderweb to form and end up peeling. A slip resistant surface will no longer be installed on the surface. The process will bring out the rubber granules that belong to the Herculiner and make it smoother.
Is Herculiner heat resistant?
Never again will I use herculiner. As far as the heat goes, it held up fine as long as you prep the metal appropriately. It will not block any heat out, though.
