Feed the spring coiled linkage into the overflow hole in the tub. Slide the coverplate down over the overflow hole. Press the coverplate firmly against the wall of the tub and place a screw into one of the holes. Insert the second screw and tighten it until firm.

In order to allow for proper flow, you’ll need to make sure the drain pipe is sloped correctly. Every yard is different, but a good starting point is a 2% slope. Start the installation process by digging a trench that extends from the starting point to where the emitter will be installed.
How do you clean a pop-up yard drain?
Flush the drain pipes with water, using a garden hose. Insert the hose as far as possible into the drain pipes from the catch basin, then turn on the water and flush out any remaining debris. You can also use multiple hoses to force even more water through the drain pipes.
