Are Johnstones paints any good?
Johnstone’s Covaplus in my opinion is the best trade emulsion on the market. It dries flat and you have very few issues will roller and brush marks. Dulux vinyl matt is one of the worst! It is expensive, has a high sheen level and roller or brush marks can be a big problem.

Leyland trade paints are of a good quality if correct product used for the job. The waterbased satin paint is not supposed to yellow as fast as the oil based paints.

Can B&Q mix Farrow and Ball colours?
Yes – but it doesn’t have the same chalky finish so it does look slightly different – i.e. probably fine if you’ve got your heart set on a colour and you’re doing the whole room, but not so good if you’ve already got your F&B and want to repaint a bit of it.
