How accurate is the on X hunting app?
We work with our data sources to make any corrections whenever errors are discovered. For the most part, you can expect the private property boundaries to be accurate to within 5-10 feet. However, this depends on the individual county and data source.
Is onX a good app?
I have used this app for the past two years on multiple hunts, in multiple states. Not only has it been great for learning boundaries and a good overall picture of my various hunting areas, it’s also great for the areas that I’ve hunt for years.

How often does onX update their satellite maps?
“Many of our datasets are updated weekly and some, like active wildfire data, are updated four times per day.” These rapid updates come when new information is supplied by providers. Once the map data arrives at onX, we can now implement and update maps extremely quickly.
Why is onX not showing property lines?
You may not be able to see private land borders and landowner information at all times. Private lands and other information can be turned on or off using the Map Layers Menu, and may only be visible at certain zoom levels. Next, double-check the Map Layers Menu to make sure the Private Lands Layer is turned on.
