Do you have to rinse off OSPHO?
When the intention is to leave ospho on the panel for protection, it still has to be wiped off with a dry rag, leaving only a thin film. This would be in the case of protecting the bare metal during the body working process, and when ready for paint then it should be rewet with a scotch pad and rinsed off completely.

Can Ospho be sanded?
from Texas. I use it too but I never sand the OSPHO after it dries. If necessary to remove the built up areas where it puddles or dries in a thick coating, I use Alcohol or lacquer thinner and a clean rag to get back down to metal.
Can you use Ospho on cast iron?
Ospho is phosphoric acid and shouldn’t be used on cast iron. Use evaporust, it works the same way, but doesn’t contain any acid. It will flash rust though, you just don’t have to rinse so thoroghly.
Can you put Bondo over Ospho?
I’m sure that it will stick, but the best rule is to apply Bondo to bare sanded metal. Ospho is recommended for paint so Bondo will probably adhere to it if is very thin.
