Is a Redeye a Demon?
Its sibling, the Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye, is basically a slightly less powerful version of the Demon. It has the same engine as the latter, only it's rated at 797 hp (808 ps) and 707 lb-ft (959 Nm) of torque. It's not even as powerful as a Demon that's running on regular gasoline.
What's the difference between a red eye and a Demon?
Many of the Redeye Hellcat's parts come from the Demon, including a supercharged 6.2-liter V8, which is rated to produce 797 hp. Compared to a regular SRT Hellcat, the Redeye has a bigger supercharger, higher rpm limit, and improved boost pressure. On paper, it's clear the Demon has the upper hand on the drag strip.
Is a hellcat the same as a Demon?
These immensely powerful cars use the 6.2-liter Hemi V8 engine that produces 717 hp in the Hellcat and 808 hp in the SRT Demon, so the Demon is much faster than the Hellcat. The major difference between the two variants is the engine configuration and the supercharger that complements the power source.
