8K describes UHD-2 and is the successor of 4K (UHD). The 8K resolution has about 8,000 columns horizontally. Or 7,680 x 4,320 pixels, distributed over the respective display size in the classic 16:9 format, which is four times more pixels than with 4K and 16 times as many pixels as with Full HD.

Is UHD the same as 8K?

Yep, 8K, as in four times the resolution of Ultra HD 4K TVs. You can, if you really want to, buy models from Samsung, Sony, LG and TCL in a variety of sizes. As you'd expect from cutting-edge technology with over 30 million pixels, the prices are quite high.

Is UHD 8K or 4K?

The short version: 4K almost always means the TV has 3,840x2,160 pixels. UHD stands for "Ultra High Definition," also known as UltraHD, but basically means 4K.
