THE RESORT is a new horror movie where four friends go to a haunted resort that has long been abandoned. With a runtime of just 1 hour and 15 minutes, my expectations were quite high. And yes, that was in part due to the brilliant Shudder horror movie Host that worked extremely well with its short runtime.

Is The Resort gory?

Film Review: The Resort is a small-scale horror film that's surprisingly gory.

Is The Resort movie low budget?

To be fair The Resort doesn't come across as a particularly low budget affair. It's shot decently enough and the production values look better than most (that aren't super big budget). The location is key to a lot of this but with that, this abandoned hotel is part of both good points in the movie and bad ones.
