What Does Grout Haze Look Like?
Grout haze occurs when residue from the grout installation dries on the surface of the grout and tiles. It looks like a white powder, seen in glossy patches, dull smears or streaks.
Will grout haze wear off?
Grout haze is a whiteish film left on the tile surface after the grouting process. Even if you have diligently wiped down the surface with a wet sponge, the haze will remain and won't come off until you take special measures. Ordinary tile cleaning methods won't remove it.
When should you wipe off grout haze?
After grout has set, you must remove the haze that develops on the grout surface. You should not wait for more than three hours after the grout has set to remove the haze. If you remove the grout haze within three hours of setting, you can do so with the help of a clean damp sponge.
