Does regular ps4 look better on 4k TV?

The regular ps4 only goes up to a max or 1080p and really does something like 900p most of the time. The PS4 pro does 4k (2160p) using a checkerboard technique that simulates 4k, really its like 1440p upscaled. But it will look much better on a 4k TV. Will ps4 games look better on a 4k TV?

4k tv on base ps4 looks a tiny bit better than 1080p. On the pro it's much better. Usually a 1080p signal on a 4K tv or monitor doesn't look as good since it's not the native resolution but thanks to things like upscaling and tv post processing it should be fine especially from a good distance away.
